Food Relief service
Some people would be surprised to read that there are many needy people and families in our local area who struggle to get enough food to eat. St Martin’s is one of several organisations that provides food relief for the area.
The food relief service is joint enterprise between the parishes of St Martin’s and Christ Church South Yarra. It operates most Tuesdays between 10am and 1pm.
The Parish buys basic groceries, as well as relying on the generosity of parishioners in donating food. Volunteers make up food parcels which we give out each week. Each year we give out over 600 parcels.

Supporting Women To Support Themselves
St Martin’s is a proud supporter of SisterWorks, which is a not for profit that exists to help women migrants, asylum seekers and refugees become financially independent and happily settled in Australia.
We regularly do fund raising to support them as well as providing volunteers in their shop. Please visit their website www.sisterworks.org.au and read about the amazing work this organisation does. [Click here to visit the Sisterworks website]
